Artist Statement

My artistic journey began in childhood when I immersed myself in art classes and exploration. I cultivated my passion for creativity and expression as a member of an art collective in London with Youth With A Mission. My teaching experiences around the world further enriched my artistic perspective. My artwork has graced local restaurants, galleries, and prestigious events like the ChaShaMa Gala in New York held in the One World Trade Tower, where my "Glamour Girl" painting earned national recognition. Also, notably, my "When Stars Embrace" painting that won "Best in Show," at the Mountain Artists Guild gallery. My latest work explores a unique technique called Citrasolv art. Using Citrasolv oil on National Geographic magazine paper and acrylic ink, I transform images into captivating pieces that blur the line between reality and imagination. And yes, some of my work looks to be inspired by Klimt, but my technique is entirely different. I don't start with a blank slate; because of that, it has a mind of its own. I paint what I see in it, like taking a cloud that looks like an elephant and then taking that elephant to a field or river. I describe my art as abstract symbolism, aiming to evoke emotions and ignite curiosity in viewers. Each piece, like a snowflake or fingerprint, boasts distinct colors and patterns. I invite you to observe and delve deeper into my creations, allowing your imaginations to roam freely. Ultimately, my art serves as a conduit for exploration and connection, hoping to encourage you to look beyond the surface and engage with your inner creativity.
